Containers
A container is not a codec: MXF is a wrapper, and DNxHD is one of the things you find inside it. Kino handles both layers.| Container | Support |
|---|---|
| MXF | OP1a and OP-Atom — the per-track flavor Avid Media Composer writes and almost nothing else reads — with frame- and clip-wrapped essence and Avid’s private essence keys. Carries DNxHD/DNxHR, ProRes, H.264, and HEVC video with PCM (AES3/Wave) audio |
| QuickTime (.mov) | ProRes, DNx, Motion JPEG, H.264, HEVC |
| Blackmagic RAW (.braw) | BRAW clips exactly as the camera writes them |
